The Committee of The Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) III Palembang, South Sumatra, continue to complete the preparation of a multi-sport event member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Yet the publication of Presidential Decree about procurement of goods and services were not a barrier of regional committee ISG’s III working optimally.
The Chairman of the Committee for The 3rd ISG, Muddai Madang explains, at present, ISG III preparations have entered stage of finalization due to start September 12, there’s been a contingent of 40 participating countries who come to Palembang to do a field test.
‘Even, there is ready to come on the 9th later due date September 15th, basketball sports branch has already started to be played and on September 19th, the football branch also has begun to be played, ‘ said Muddai, Wednesday (09/04).
Muddai claims to be optimistic all the preparations will be finalized before the ISG III begins. The Regional Committee of the ISG III also pointed to the providers of goods and services for the purposes of conducting the ISG III while waiting for an umbrella law through Presidential Decree.
Presidential Decree’s of ISG III to date has not yet been signed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. However, it did not will weigh his part in preparing the ISG III, said Muddai.
‘The President just need a little more explanation from the Minister, relating to several articles and clauses,’ he added.
Muddai reveals, it set up the 100 billion rupiahs from Regional Budget Income and Expenditure for organizing the 3rd ISG which takes place September 22nd until October 1st, 2013.
‘Previously prepared 75 billion rupiahs, but must ride to 100 billion rupiahs because the number of participants grew steadily until it finally becomes 40 countries. While the other 17 countries still come even though without the athletes,’ Muddai said.
As many as 40 countries have ensured to follow the ISG, including two ASEAN countries, namely Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
Approximately 2,650 athletes will compete in 13 sports. Thirteen branches are athletics, basketball, indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, taekwondo, karate, wushu, swimming, badminton, football, tennis, archery, tennis and weightlifting.
